Theme : Coming of age
FCEABK Writers' Community is happy to announce a new poetry contest for you tagged FCEABK Writers challenge to be held from the 26th of Sept. - the 30th of Sept. 2022. The theme for the challenge is 'Coming of age.
Coming of age is just like The protagonist moving from a state of naiveté to a state of knowing, from a state of inexperience to a state of experience, a state of immaturity to a state of making mature responses and decisions and to a stage where thoughts shifts from idealism to realism. Yes, you heard us right! You’re limitless. Harness your creativity and explore your capabilities. Embrace the ideology of being yourself that’s more than enough. You’re unbound and uncaged. Send us your best of best works. Let the poetry flow. All the best.
Judging criteria
Uniqueness – 30%
Creativity/Style and Originality – 30%
The coherence of form and structure (harmony of words, presentation) – 10%
Likes and Comments on social media - 20%
Clarity of imagery and language – 10%
=> TOTAL – 100%
RULES
• The competition is open to all FCEABK students and all levels respectively.
•All participants must register with the link or visit SUG Secretariat for registration proper. And registration ID is given.
• The competition is to be posted on any social media hangout (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). And the link to the post is to be sent to the admin at 07045457605 on WhatsApp. (For those without android, you can utilize a friend's phone.
• Poems or essays must be on the topic given and must be written according to the theme.
• Poem: must be typed and not longer than 40 lines (excluding the title).
Essay: Not longer than 500 words.
•Remember one poem submission per contest and the qualified winner for the next day will be contacted
•Poems should be in English, must be the entrant’s work, and should not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere (including online), or be the translated work of another poet.
•Our judges will read all entries.
•No changes can be made to a poem once it has been submitted.
•Poem should be submitted with hashtags
